4 tips if you want to refurbish your corporate space
Being November an ideal month for starting projects, we believe it is essential to share a few tips to materialise your idea and to be able to take it from paper to reality:
1. Be clear about what you want to achieve
In order to have an exact idea of what you need, you must ask questions that resolve all your doubts and requirements:
- What do we want to achieve with this work/reform? Is it necessary?
- Do we need to change the image of one or more offices?
- How much budget do I have available to carry out the work?
- Are we sure of the location of the office and, therefore, of the work?
- Is the office going to be open during the works or do we need to relocate?
- Do you have the timetable organised so that there are no hitches or obstacles?
2. Plan the project in full
The key to getting everything right is good planning. Prepare the project schedule, prepare the budget and make sure that you have the capital to be able to face the works and, above all, shape your idea in detail without leaving any pending and unresolved issues.
You must be able to differentiate between what you want and what you really need for your office. Be practical and think that it should be a functional space adapted to your needs.
3. Prepare and motivate your employees
When doing works and reforms you have to keep in mind that, whether they are in the office during the works or in an alternative location to the usual one, you have to warn and keep your employees motivated.
Changes for the better are essential but, if they affect the working day and the activity of the office, they can take their toll on anyone. Let your team know that it’s only a matter of a short time and they will be delighted with a more functional space for themselves and customers, and the new space will allow for collaboration between co-workers.
4. Go green
Sustainability is the order of the day. Climate summits are being held, new laws are being created to mitigate harmful emissions into the atmosphere and people’s thinking is being redirected to think greener and rely on renewable energy.
It is important to be part of this change and can attract more customers in the future as being a company committed to its environment, it offers a more serious and reliable image. Use LED lights, recycled materials and sustainable energy (ventilation systems and windows, among others).
Remember that in the hands of good professionals your idea becomes a reality, will you join us in changing the image of your offices?
