Collaboration with the parish of Saint Anton in Bilbao

Our collaboration with the parish of San Antón is part of a series of actions that we have been carrying out over the last 15 years. It all started when the Colegio Mayor Bidealde asked us if we could supply them with paint and utensils, as well as training for volunteers from the Colegio Mayor to paint some houses of people without resources in disadvantaged areas. Throughout these years, the volunteers have continued to be university students and different non-profit organisations have contacted us to collaborate in this type of action. We have worked in Lamiako, Luchana, Casco Viejo, etc., in painting activities. This year, instead of inhabited houses, we have collaborated with the painting of a study room for disadvantaged people in the parish of San Antón through IREKI (elkartasunaren aldeko gazteak – young people for solidarity).

Our contribution is to provide the volunteers with painting material and utensils, as well as basic training appropriate to the work they are going to carry out, in which a professional painter from our company also collaborates.

This type of work is always carried out in the same way, over a weekend. On Friday the area is prepared and on Saturday and Sunday it is painted.

López Landa is very proud to be able to collaborate in this direct and specific way. Corporate Social Responsibility is in our DNA and we also collaborate with other organisations such as Walk On Project (WOP), Asociación Española contra el cáncer (AECC) and DYA, whose funds are destined to the study of neurodegenerative diseases, cancer and solidarity aid with ambulances and sanitary help, respectively.
